Short-Biography:

Siegfried Reich has been a scientific director of Salzburg Research since 2002. Salzburg Research is a non-profit research and technology organization (RTO), which conducts applied research in information and communication technologies (ICTs), focused on the “Future Internet”(www.salzburgresearch.at).

He received his MSc in applied computer science from the University of Linz (1992) and a PhD in computer science and economics from the University of Vienna (1995). From 1996 to 1999, he worked as a lecturer with the Multimedia Research Group at Southampton, U.K., mainly on open hypermedia system interoperability and Web application infrastructures. In these fields, he has published over 90 papers, books and book chapters, and has headed many conferences and workshops. His research interests are in Web Engineering, GeoWeb information systems and information architectures.
